HoneyBook on Reddit: what users say.
Most HoneyBook Reddit threads are written by photographers, videographers and planners, not venues. We read six that Google listed on October 27, 2026, then checked HoneyBook's own pages for price, card fees and its client portal.
What do people on Reddit say about HoneyBook?
The six threads split two ways. Some people like having contracts, invoices and client work in one place, and one says it has worked well over about two years. Others write about price increases and about leaving or downgrading. None of the snippets says the poster runs a venue. Six threads is a sample, not a vote.
6 HoneyBook Reddit threads, in plain words
These are the threads Google listed for the search "honeybook reddit" on October 27, 2026. We paraphrase them, and we did not browse Reddit itself, so open the threads to read the full replies. For more, search Reddit for HoneyBook.
A venue's week runs on rooms, dates and guest counts, which none of these snippets covers. Check that part against HoneyBook's own pages, below.
| Where | When | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| r/smallbusiness | 4 months ago | Asks whether HoneyBook is worth using long term in real workflows. The top reply has used it for about two years and says it has worked well. |
| r/smallbusiness | 3 years ago | Asks how customizable the contracts are. The top reply calls it a robust system with some of the best features. |
| r/WeddingPhotography | 7 months ago | A thread about leaving HoneyBook, where the poster says they love the interface, invoices and contracts. |
| r/weddingvideography | 1 year ago | About HoneyBook price change. A top reply plans to drop to the basic plan because they do not use the automations. |
| r/smallbusiness | 1 year ago | A day-of coordinator asks for alternatives ahead of HoneyBook price increase. A reply recommends another tool that offers free migration. |
| r/CRM | 11 months ago | A user who has used HoneyBook for a while asks what frustrates others, and wonders whether they are using it correctly. |
Read them with two things in mind. Most are old, and software, prices and contracts change. And people who reply to a thread about a vendor are sometimes the vendor or someone who works for it, so look at what a reply says it did, not just how it feels about it.

What HoneyBook says about its client portal
HoneyBook's help center describes the client portal this way. Clients can see shared files, invoice files, notes you choose to share and a read-only list of meetings, and they can message you and upload files. They cannot book meetings or see your pipeline, tasks or account details (source).
Clients open it from a link, with a password, an emailed login link or a 6-digit code (source). The pages we read do not say whether one client login covers several HoneyBook businesses. The pricing page lists a client portal on Starter.
