Multi-location venue management for owners of two or more venues
One MyVenueHQ account can run several venues. You switch between them from one menu, each extra venue costs $15 a month, and one subscription covers them all. Each venue keeps its own calendar, clients and settings.
MyVenueHQ supports several venues on one account: $49 a month for the first venue and $15 a month for each extra one, on one bill. Each venue has its own calendar, bookings, clients, templates, staff roles and payment account. There is no combined calendar or group report, so you work in one venue at a time. In the app a location is called a venue.
How several venues work in one account
Here is what is shared across your account and what belongs to a venue.
| Part | How it works |
|---|---|
| One login, many venues | Your account can belong to several venues, with a different role in each. You can be the owner of one and a manager of another. |
| Switching | The venue name at the top of the sidebar opens a menu of your venues. Pick one and the whole screen is that venue. Manage venues opens the Venues screen. |
| One bill | One subscription: the Venue plan once, plus an Additional Venue line for each extra venue. Adding or removing a venue changes the bill straight away, prorated. |
| Calendar and bookings | Each venue has its own calendar, inquiries, events and closed dates. The clash check runs inside one venue and one room. |
| Clients and templates | Contacts, contract templates, packages, workflows, forms, floor plans and BEOs belong to the venue you are in. |
| Branding and region | Each venue has its own logo, colours, currency, time zone, language and date formats. Two venues can charge in different currencies. |
| Payments and POS | Each venue connects its own Stripe or Square account and its own POS, so each venue is paid into its own account. |
| Roles and permissions | Roles are Owner, Manager, Event coordinator, Staff and Client. Which of 16 permissions each role has is set per venue, and a venue can add custom roles. A change at one venue does not touch another. |
| Removing a venue | Archive it. Its data is kept, you can restore it later, and the bill drops straight away. You must keep at least one active venue. |
What several venues cost
The Venue plan includes one venue. Each extra venue adds $15 a month, or $150 a year if you pay yearly. An extra venue always bills on the same schedule as the plan. These are list prices from our pricing page, worked out for common numbers of venues.
| Venues | Paid monthly | Paid yearly |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $49 a month | $490 a year |
| 2 | $64 a month | $640 a year |
| 3 | $79 a month | $790 a year |
| 5 | $109 a month | $1,090 a year |
| 10 | $184 a month | $1,840 a year |
Adding or removing a venue mid-cycle creates a small prorated charge or credit at once. Invoices to your clients carry no MyVenueHQ fee. Each venue’s card payments settle in its own Stripe or Square account.
Adding a second venue
- Open the venue menu at the top of the sidebar and choose Manage venues.
- Under Add a venue, type the venue’s name as guests know it and press Add venue. The page tells you the extra $15 a month starts from today.
- Switch to the new venue from the menu and set up its branding, region and formats in Settings.
- Connect its payment account and, on the Venue plan, its POS under Payments.
- Build its inquiry form or share its booking page link, and invite the people who work there. Each invitation carries a role.
Who it suits: an owner with a few independent venues, for example a barn and a downtown loft run by one team that moves between them. A planner or coordinator who works at several venues can hold a different role at each.
What stays separate between venues
Read this list before you decide. These are limits of the product today.
- There is no combined calendar. You see one venue at a time. Each venue also has its own read-only calendar feed, so you can subscribe to several in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and see them together there.
- There is no group report. The Money screens, reports and goals each show one venue.
- Contacts and templates are not shared. A couple who contacts two of your venues is two client records, and a contract template written once has to be copied by hand into the second venue.
- You cannot move an event, inquiry or invoice from one venue to another.
- Permissions are not set once for all venues. Each venue has its own roles and ticks.
- A public page shows one venue. The booking page, calendar embed, tour page and forms each belong to one venue, and there is no page that lets a visitor choose between your venues.
- Email goes out from hello@myvenuehq.com, with the owner of that venue as the reply address. A venue cannot send from its own address.
- Payouts are not combined. Each venue is paid into the Stripe or Square account it connected.
The product has no Group plan. The price above is the whole price.
Multi-location questions.
How much does it cost to add a second venue?
$15 a month, or $150 a year on the yearly plan, on top of the $49 Venue plan. Two venues come to $64 a month, or $640 a year. The charge starts the day you add the venue.
Does the free plan cover more than one venue?
No. The Free plan is one venue. Adding a second venue needs the Venue plan.
Can I see every venue on one calendar?
Not in MyVenueHQ. The calendar shows one venue at a time. Each venue has a read-only calendar feed that you can subscribe to in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, which shows several venues side by side in that app.
Can a staff member work at two of my venues?
Yes. Invite them to each venue. They get a role at each one, and the sidebar loads the permissions of the venue they have open. The Venue plan has no seat limit.
Do my venues share clients or templates?
No. Contacts, contract templates, packages, workflows and forms belong to one venue. There is no copy-to-venue feature yet, so a template is rebuilt in each venue.
Can each venue take payments into its own bank account?
Yes. Each venue connects its own Stripe or Square account. Invoice payments settle there and MyVenueHQ adds no fee to them. Processor fees still apply.
What happens to my venues if I cancel?
The plan ends at the end of the period you paid for, and then every venue becomes read-only. Your data stays and you can subscribe again at any time.
Is it multi-location software or venue software?
It is venue software that can run several venues from one account. The app calls each location a venue. It is a fit for an owner with a few venues. It is not a group dashboard for a chain.
