See what an automation did

Plan: Free and Venue Who: Staff can read the history. Owners and managers can change automations. Checked against the app on

The short answer

Press Run history at the top of Workflows. Each run shows Done, Failed, Waiting or Running, and opening one shows what every step did. Pause an automation with its switch, or use the row menu to edit it or delete it.

Check a run

  1. Open Settings, Workflows, and press Run history. Use Show to pick one workflow, and Check for new runs to refresh.
  2. Each run shows its status, the workflow, the event and customer (or “An inquiry”), and when. Open a run to see each step as Done, Failed, Waiting, Not run or Skipped.
  3. A Failed step shows its error. A Waiting step shows “Carries on” with a date.

Pause, edit or delete

Each automation has a switch that reads On or Paused. Under it, “Last ran” shows the time and how many runs, and how many failed. The row menu (More for the name) has Edit workflow, See its runs and Delete workflow. Deleting also removes its run history, so pause it to stop it for now. The page opens with a line such as “3 of 5 workflows are on.”

What it does not do

  • The history shows the latest 50 runs.
  • Skipped means a step did not apply. “Skipped: unsubscribed.” is a client who opted out, and “Skipped: no client email.” is a record with no email.
  • A run that hit the daily email limit shows Failed and is not retried.
  • Waiting steps are resumed by a check every six hours, and at most 25 waiting runs and 50 new timed runs per automation are handled each time. A large backlog drains over later checks.
  • Common errors: “No valid recipient email”, “No booking for task”, “No contract template configured”, “Proposal not found”.
