The short answer

Open Settings, then Packages under Event setup, press Add a package, and fill in the name, price, a short description and what it includes. Pick a package on an event, and show it to the client in a proposal.

Create a package

  1. Open Settings, then Packages under Event setup. The Packages page under Tools edits the same list.
  2. Press Add a package.
  3. Fill in Package name, Price, What it is and What it includes, one line at a time with Add another line. A package needs a name.
  4. Optional: use the row menu, Choose vendor add-ons, to list add-ons from your vendors’ products.
  5. Press Save. A message says “name added”.

Where a package shows up

On an event, choose it under Package in the New event window or Event package on the Overview. In a proposal, the Packages section, titled Our packages, lets you tick which to show. The client sees each name, description, price (or “Price on request”), the included lines and the add-ons.

What it does not do

  • Choosing a package on an event does not set the event’s amount or add its lines to the event or the BEO.
  • The client cannot choose a package or its add-ons in the proposal, and nothing totals them.
  • A negative or non-numeric price is saved as 0.
  • Packages do not appear in the client portal or the BEO.
  • Deleting a package leaves events booked on it with their details but unlinked from the package.
