Venue inventory and your own object sizes

Plan: Free and Venue Who: Settings items need the manage team permission. Event coordinators and above can change counts. Checked against the app on

The short answer

Open Settings, then Venue inventory under Event setup, and add how many of each item you own. Open Floor plan objects to save your own sizes. Planners then place the real thing, and counted items stop at your stock.

Count what you own

  1. Open Settings, then Venue inventory under Event setup. The page is titled Furniture and equipment.
  2. Under Item choose what to count, type How many and press Add to the stock list.
  3. To change a number, type a new one. The row says “Was N, not saved yet” until you press Save stock counts.
  4. The row menu has Stop counting for an item. A count of 0 means planners cannot place one.

Save your own sizes

  1. Open Settings, then Floor plan objects under Event setup. The page is titled Object sizes.
  2. Press Add a size. Choose the Kind of object: round table, rectangle table, cocktail table, stage, dance floor or bar.
  3. Fill in Name, Width, Depth and Seats or capacity. Tick The default size for this kind if you want. Press Add this size.
  4. Your sizes appear in the builder’s Items tab under Venue Templates. The standard tile for that kind is hidden.

What it does not do

  • The count is checked only in the builder, only against what is already on the layout being edited. Nothing on the server stops a layout going over.
  • Only items in Furniture, Equipment and Amenities can be counted. Each size counts separately, so a 60 inch round and a 72 inch round are separate items.
  • Counts are whole numbers from 0 to 100,000. Inventory tracking is off for an item until you add it.
  • On a counted tile, a badge shows how many are left. At zero the tile is greyed out and cannot be placed.
  • Existing objects on floor plans keep their size when you change or delete a saved size.
  • Only six kinds of object can have a saved size. The Length value is saved but the plan does not use it.
  • Sizes are typed in your venue’s unit and stored in feet.
