View a layout in 3D
The short answer
In the builder, open Actions and choose 3D Preview. Drag to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom, and use Overview, Top, Guest view or Turntable. The preview is view only, and clients cannot see it.
Open the preview
- In the layout builder, press Actions and choose 3D Preview. A message says “Loading the 3D view” while it opens.
- Drag to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom and right-drag to pan.
- Use Overview, Top or Guest view to fly the camera to a standard angle. Turntable turns the room slowly.
- Press Close 3D preview or Esc to go back.
What it draws
Floors and detected rooms with their floor material, walls, and every table, chair and object built from parts. Walls between you and the room drop to a cutaway height so you can see in. Doors and windows hide with their wall.
What it does not do
- The preview is view only. Nothing in it changes the plan.
- It does not show a traced plan image, comment pins, table numbers, guest names, walkways or room-check marks.
- You cannot walk through it at eye height, take a picture from it or choose a quality level. The camera stays outside the room.
- Doors and windows are not cut into walls.
- The client share page and the website embed show the 2D plan only, not 3D.
- The ISO button in the header is a tilted 2D view, not the 3D preview. It is for looking, so switch back to 2D to move things.
- A browser with no hardware graphics may draw only a plain background.
