Set your venue’s language, currency and formats
The short answer
Open Settings, then Name and address, find Region and formats, pick a region to fill in the rest, and press Save region settings. Your own app language is separate, under Your account, Language.
Set the venue’s region and formats
- Open Settings, then Name and address, and scroll to Region and formats.
- Under Start from a region choose United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, France or Spain. It fills the fields below, which you can still change.
- Check Venue language and Language your clients see. The second covers the booking page, inquiry forms, proposals, contracts, invoices, the client portal and client emails.
- Check Currency, Date format, Time format, Week starts on, Number format and Measurements.
- Tick Prices include VAT or sales tax if your prices already include tax. It adds a note to proposals and invoices and does not recalculate totals.
- Read the preview line, then press Save region settings.
Set your own app language
- Open Settings, the Your account tab, and find Language.
- Choose Automatic, English, Nederlands, Deutsch, Français or Español. A message says “Language saved”.
How a client’s language is chosen
It is one setting for the venue, not one per client. With nothing chosen it follows the venue language. A link can override it: add ?lang=nl, de, fr, es or en to a booking page, proposal or contract link and that page opens in that language. The client portal follows the venue’s client language when all of a client’s events are with one venue.
What it does not do
- Supported languages are English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish.
- Supported currencies are US dollars, euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars. Changing the currency relabels amounts and does not convert them. Open invoices and unpaid bookings are charged in the new currency.
- New venues start filled in from a guess at your region, and a note offers Change or OK. If your country’s currency is not supported, prices start in US dollars.
- A venue that never saved settings uses US dollars, month-day-year, 12 hour time, Sunday week start and feet.
- The Time zone box is saved but nothing uses it. Event times stay as you type them.
- The Language section under Venue settings has pickers that save nothing. Use Your account, Language, and Region and formats.
- Measurements apply to new layouts, the wall length box and object sizes. The layout builder’s room size card, properties panel and ruler stay in feet.
