Export your data

Plan: Free and Venue Who: Owners and managers for the venue zip. Anyone for their own workspace zip. Checked against the app on

The short answer

Open Settings, then Export your data, and press Download all venue data. You get one zip with a spreadsheet for events, inquiries, clients, invoices, payments, tickets, forms and more. Owners and managers can export.

Download the venue zip

  1. Open Settings, then Export your data.
  2. Read What is in the export: events and bookings, inquiries, contacts; BEOs, menus, packages, vendors; proposals and contracts; invoices, payments and refunds, tickets; forms and every submission; layouts.
  3. Press Download all venue data. Your browser saves a zip named for the venue and the date. A message says “Export downloaded.”

What it does not do

  • Clients, events, inquiries and invoices come out only in the venue zip. There is no CSV button on those lists, and no report or Money export.
  • Column names are the database names, not the screen labels. A stored inquiry stage reads lead, contacted, qualified or declined. The events file also holds the hidden inquiry rows that converting an inquiry leaves behind.
  • Form submission answers are keyed by field, not by question wording, in the zip. The form’s own Export CSV uses the questions as column names.
  • Each file holds up to 20,000 rows. A longer one is cut and the README in the zip says so.
  • Not in the zip: team members and roles, venue settings, workflows, tours, comments and client messages, the activity log, uploaded files themselves, contract templates, blocked dates, inventory and anything in the Trash. Uploaded files appear as addresses only, and signature images are included.
  • Share, signing and portal links are left out of the files for safety.
  • Five exports an hour per person.
  • There is no invoice, proposal or contract PDF made by MyVenueHQ. A DocuSign contract has DocuSign’s signed PDF.
  • QuickBooks is a connection that copies sent invoices and payments, not a file.

Common questions

Can I get my clients as a spreadsheet?

Yes, in the venue zip, as contacts.csv. Open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
