The Trash: restore what you deleted
The short answer
Open Settings, then Trash. Anything you deleted stays there for 30 days. Press Restore and it comes back as it was. Right after deleting, the message also has an Undo button, and lists have a Recently deleted link.
Restore something
- Right after a delete, press Undo in the message. It stays about 10 seconds.
- Later, press Recently deleted under the list, or open Settings, then Trash.
- Use the Show chips to pick a kind. Each row shows who deleted it, when, and “Erased on” the date unless restored.
- Press Restore. A message says it was restored. Restoring an event brings back its hidden inquiry too.
What goes to the Trash
| Kind | Who can delete and restore it | Cannot be deleted when |
|---|---|---|
| Inquiry | Event coordinator and above | Always allowed. |
| Event | Event coordinator and above | It has recorded payments: “Cancel it to retain the payment history.” |
| Client | Staff and above | Always allowed. |
| Proposal | Event coordinator and above | It was accepted. |
| Invoice | Event coordinator and above | It has any payment on it. |
| Floor plan (layout) | Event coordinator and above, or its maker | Always allowed. |
| Contract | Event coordinator and above | It is signed. Void it instead. |
What it does not do
- Items are erased 30 days after you delete them, by a daily job that runs once a backup succeeds. A row can show a past erase date for a few hours.
- Not in the Trash, so deleted at once: forms and their submissions, BEOs, menus, packages, vendors, ticket types and sold tickets, folders, members and workflows. Tasks inside an event get only a short Undo.
- A deleted venue is not possible. A venue can be archived only.
- Delete forever asks you first and cannot be undone.
- A late payment or signature that arrives after you delete a record puts it back instead of erasing it.
- There is no empty-the-Trash button and no restoring several at once from the screen.
- A failed restore shows only “Could not restore that. Try again in a moment.” without the reason.
- Trashed events and clients do not count toward the Free limits, and restoring does not check them again.
- A venue whose paid subscription lapsed cannot restore or delete forever.
Common questions
Can I restore after 30 days?
No. After 30 days the item is erased for good.
