Turn HQ off for the venue or just for you
The venue owner can switch HQ off for everyone in Settings, under Automation, AI assistant. Anyone on the team can hide it for themselves on the same page. Off means the briefing, the Ask box, reply drafts and paste-an-email are gone.
Switch HQ off for the whole venue (owner)
- Open Settings in the left rail, then AI assistant under Automation.
- Find Use the AI assistant at this venue and switch it to Off.
- The page says “It is off, so Today shows no briefing or Ask box.” To turn it back on, switch it to On.
Hide HQ for yourself only
- Open Settings, then AI assistant.
- Switch Hide the assistant for me to On. Everyone else keeps HQ.
- To bring it back, switch it to Off on the same row. It follows you across devices.
What changes when it is off
The briefing, the Ask box, the full-screen chat, reply drafts and paste-an-email disappear. The off switch is enforced by MyVenueHQ’s servers, not only the screen: a card HQ already offered can no longer be confirmed or undone, and answers “The assistant is switched off for this venue.” Nothing else in MyVenueHQ changes.
What it does not do
- Only the venue owner can switch HQ off for the venue. A manager cannot, and sees the switch greyed out.
- There is no switch for one feature or one role. HQ is on or off.
- The Ask button beside Today stays in the left rail when HQ is off or hidden. It does nothing then.
- Switching HQ off does not delete the record of actions it already did. Those stay so they can be undone while undo is allowed.
Common questions
Does HQ read my data when it is off?
No. With the venue switch off, nothing is sent to the AI provider for that venue.
Can I turn it off for one person only?
Each person can hide HQ for themselves. The owner cannot hide it for one other person without turning it off for the whole venue.
