Create your account

1. Open Start free. The page says “Start free.”
2. Fill in Your name (optional), Email and Password. The password needs 10 to 200 characters. If you see Continue with Google, you can use that instead.
3. Leave “Email me occasional offers and product news” unticked unless you want them. It starts unticked and is optional.
4. Press Create my account. You are signed in straight away and land on Today.

Create your venue

1. On Today, find the card “Set up your venue”. It asks for a Venue name.
2. Type the name as guests know it, up to 120 characters, and press Create venue or Enter.
3. A message says “Venue added.” and Today becomes your real Today. You are the venue’s owner.
4. If a note says “We set your region to …”, press OK to keep it, or Change to open Region settings.

What the free plan gives you first

One venue, 10 events a month (inquiries do not count toward the 10), 250 clients and 2 staff seats. The owner uses one seat and the Client role uses none. Contracts and POS sync need the Venue plan. The pricing page lists everything.

If you made something on a free tool first

A floor plan, seating chart, BEO or proposal you saved while signed out moves into your new venue. The card says “The floor plan you saved moves in with it.” before you create the venue.

The confirmation email

We email “Confirm your email - MyVenueHQ” with a link that works for 24 hours. You can use the app before you open it. Confirming matters when you accept an invitation to someone else’s venue.

What it does not do

• The free plan is one venue. A second venue needs the Venue plan: “The free plan includes one venue. Subscribe to the Venue plan to add another.”
• Only a venue manager account can create a venue. An account made from an invitation sees “Waiting for an invitation” until it accepts.
• The venue’s address, time zone and branding are set afterwards in Settings. Creating a venue asks only for the name.
• You cannot pick a plan or enter a card on this sign-up page. To start on the Venue plan, use the trial button on the pricing page.
• Sign-up is limited to 5 attempts every 15 minutes from one network address. If you hit it, wait and try again.
• There is no joining a venue with a code or a link. Staff join by email invitation.
